Technology today presents so many opportunities to transform an organization, thereby driving revenue and enhancing customer experience. In many cases, a successful outcome hinges not on the technology itself, but rather on the leadership, organization and execution of the associated program or initiative.
I have had the fortunate opportunity to be part of many such transformational technology initiatives around the world, playing multiple roles as either consultant, client or software vendor. These experiences (both the challenges and the successes) enable me to assist our clients in a variety of ways, ranging from strategic planning to day-to-day execution (with sleeves rolled up!).
Having worked in a variety of industries, I developed a strong passion for retail, in particular, primarily influenced by over a decade leading technology projects at The Home Depot, both in Canada and the US. There is something uniquely tangible and familiar about selling hammers and installing a kitchen!
More recently, I have had the opportunity to dive into the restaurant industry, which is equally exciting, possessing tremendous opportunity around omni-channel, 3rd party delivery, payments and line busting technologies, to name just a few.
